It simply means they used to go to church but now they stopped/they started sinning again and forgot about church.

It's a dance that christians do when they catch the Holy Ghost, it occurs right after they do the Moonwalk but just before they do the Worm

Backsliding is a term used within Christianity to describe a process by which an individual who has converted to Christianity reverts to pre-conversion habits and practices. (thank you Wikipedia)

I don't call it back sliding, I instead like to think of it as an alternative course of direction because when I became fed up with all that religious bullsh!t; I simply moon walked out the church front door and never looked back.

Church has nothing to do with it to be honest with u.
Backsliding means u returned to your life of sin. Plain and simple. It a more polite way of saying it lol.
I hate the fact that ppl think going to church means ur saved or ur a christian. The devil himself lives in the church. Think about that ****.

I thought about it and I could personally agree ,this could be a hot topic for discussion it might create chaos though. If the christianity is not genuine its like wearing a mask to cover up the truth. Thats why I try to be very spiritual not religous. But really temptaion /devil/problems everywhere .

Preach sister preach!!
Not getting off the subject but rather a little more in-depth…what really turns me completely off from church and willingly backslide from the so called "Christian" movement is their holier than thou persona in the pulpits and congregations of the Church building, but once outside the Church doors; many Christians are proven to be no more than hypocritical jokers out for public attention and sympathy.
This obvious act of religious superiority gives me cause to doubt the sincerity of 99.9% of any so called Christian. Do not get me wrong; I'm not out on a witch hunt or holy crusade against any true Christian believer, I simply believe that if you are a Christian you ought to be 100% committed and not just on Sundays.
The Christians labeled me a “devil filled sinner” and the “son of perdition”, I say so what; at least I am committed and dedicated to sinning 24/7 without any breaks or complaints, I refuse to be a hypocrite… how many Christian you know can prove such commitment to their religious philosophies.??

It’s not that simple Spike; but goes much deeper than what it would appear at surface level. I can deal with people very effectively but the philosophy of a mythical Messiah sent by an invisible god to liberate mankind from spiritual damnation is a little incredible to comprehend.
No one has ever produced any tangible evidence to substantiate the existence of any gods or demons nor relevant proof of heaven or hell but only that the initiated should believe that it may become real. The counter argument to this theory is that none belief will cancel out any reality that may come from believing.

i recall a few times when i would invite a friend to church and they say they ain't coming because of so and so. And i'm like did so and so give you breath? You go to church to get a personal relationship with God, so why are you worrying about what others say?
