Ummm...What's the difference between being the status Single and Dating??

Does Single mean you're completely not talking to anyone anyone? And does Dating mean you're seeing just one person in particular or a few ppl??? Cuz technically dating means you're not attached. So, if you're not attached, but you're dating, it cld be a turn off b/c the opposite sex may think you're occupied and not bother, or a turn on, b/c it means you're available. And u may not want to turn a prospective date away.

But then again Single cld mean you're available and also browsing, but u also want to let the other person know you're 'scouting'

As u can see i'm soooooooooooooo confused.

well speakin for myself wen im single, im available and sumtimes browsin or just takin time for myself, and datin i dont even use dat term, if im wit sum1 im in a relationship wit dem and dem only

So now basically no one knows what's the difference b/n single and dating...

Welll.......if this situation did applied to me, i would say single is single. I don't get caught anyway, so it don't really matter what i am if i'm not in a committed relationship. I think the word Dating should become irrelevant. it may help on the confusion.

I think we as bahamian people should not even consider using the word 'dating' in reference to relationships. Single means, no exclusive relationship. Going by the american meaning of the word dating, it means you go out with a person/s non-exclusively. Most of us as bahamian people, see someone we like, get to know almost nothing about them and become exclusive, therefore having no need for the term 'dating' in use in reference to courtship!

I always use to wonder bout that..dont ake sense to me
kuz if you dating it means you still single and testin da waters, lookin for that right one...
but yea its what kinda understanding you and the other person have
