I started my saturday like i usually do. slept until about 10-11.. i was actually woken up by a friend who decided to stop by and see how i was doing. that was fun. after that i fed and talked to my fish and got ready to head out with a Heineken in hand. [I walk.. if anyone was painting a scene whilst reading] I had to go to the Mall and pay cable.. and hail a "new" friend... she wasnt there when i first got in.. so i did what everyone else seemed to do in the mall... loiter. Saw a couple old faces and did some browsing for stuff i assumed i needed. and of course the stores didnt have anything. After a few minutes i went to hail another friend of mine [whom i arranged to cook for on sunday] apparantly she eats nothing from the sea.. kinda put a damper on my food prep plan because i wanted to do salmon. salmon is good. mmm.... salmon... After that i went to the mall's ATM and wasnt too shocked when there werent any pesos available- that meant i had to dash to the Texaco down the road [knowing ATM locations is a plus]. I was able to get my money [B-tch!] and i bought a Milky Way, a Red Bull and some.. umm.. rain gear. Cable Bahamas was full, or at least people were on line so i doubled back to the Mall and headed straight for Oceans Digital and there was no waiting time [as usual]. Feeling fulfilled that i struck one item off of my Mall Agenda i decided to check back on this cherry blossom i wanted to meet. she was there.. but it lookd like she just got in and was settling so i -stealthly- slipped away and dipped into Super Video to dvd browse... that was fruitless because i didnt have any titles in mind and i dont pick up dvds on a whim.. i stayed long enough to seem like i was looking and short enough that the clerks werent suspicious of me lurking about. Big breath now.. Get that courage and confidence up.. dont make an ass out of yourself Amp, not today. Into the fray i walked and spotted Karate-Man [not his real name but he is a Martial Arts savvy Security Officer and he is cool.. so you better be cool too or he will work some Bruce Lee jive on your ass, jack!.. the 70's were nice.. mmm Blaxploitation] now, i walked up to said lovely and engaged conversation.. It felt good.. even if i was nervous she had this way about her that threw it all out the window. We talked for a while.. sorta felt each other out. topic jumped alot. and i was pretty glad that i didnt have to shout to be heard.. alot of people say i talk softly.. too bassy and whatever.. i guess the confidence added volume [go figure]. after a bit she got busy and i stepped away to let her do her thing [plus it was like a surge of people all at once.. im not a big fan of crowds]. I went to the Bookstore for index cards, wanted to write my contact info on one [i ran out of business/contact cards so i had to improvise] they didnt have what i needed... how cliche of a mall store. On to the uberbeast Kelly's.. they had some index cards i guessed i could use. On to the next venture! I took advantage of an empty spot at the Voter Registration Booth and filled out one of the cards. As i got up to leave i found myself being seduced into registering by one of the ladies stationed there.. so i did, I hope its free. Back to the girl.. she wasnt there, [Is it day over for our hero? Will the bella donna return to continue the hello conversation? Will the liqour store at the Mall have heinekens in the Keg can?] Ah.. there she is.. went for food. cool. we continued our talk and after a while exchanged contact info and i left with a goodbye... Outside the mall i refueled on a Heineken and proceeded to palmdale, Mackey Street at least. As i walked an MP that i know passed and hailed.. which was odd. After a while longer i saw his car parked in an ajar position along the road and a few feet before that i noted a blood-like substance on the road, so i immediatly thought the worse..[that he ran over some one] Some guy was laying down on the ground where he parked.. either unconscious or dead.. felt compelled to take a picture of it.. chose not to and kept walking. a few minutes later [fresh from finishing a beer some kids on a truck thought it nice to try to make fun of me.. i flipped them off. It felt good. In Palmdale i stopped at Fini to try on a suit.. I never really had a suit and after seeing a UFC photoshoot in Maxim Ive been anxious to see how id look.. and i must admit ya boy got it down.. so now that a definate buy of 2007.. A powder gray suit. I dipped in Wongs to get some liter- ature.. and proceeded to Harbour Bay for groceries... after that i went home.. got picked up to watch a movie with freinds... and the night ended in the morning. Good Times.
Its a tragedy in the form of a travesty. imagine me opening your eyes like a canopy so you can see every color in the prism beat and throb to the tempo of my pulse when youre touching me. Youre touching me in the backyard under laundry flapping in the faint summer wind in a harmony, shirts jiving, failing wild arms in a show for we, it's funny how your mother doesnt think its where im supposed to be, she doesnt see though.. its like she reads me in braille, only notes the bumps in my lifeline assuming that they tell the tale but my steps are more complex, an orchestrated mess with a blank manifest. now, back to beats - the tragedy is that you breathe and fawn about your love for me, how you care for me would be there for me and all these other pencilings when honestly you only know of me as some guy that said some "magic" things that set your eyes to twinkling and set you thinking on a band of rings when actually my intentions were to only get you wet for me and next to me right here anxious under laundry, now skip a beat and here goes the details of the travesty and that would be me knowing the full ploy from the initial beat and measuring the puppet strings amoungst a couple other things and smirking when your mother tries to tell you stay away from me, knowing she is making me forbidden fruit unknowingly and here's the thing, she's wise and privy to the very likes of me and she's trying to save her daughter, you, from a drama scene. But no, sweet rebellion lives, fuck it, youre nineteen, you gotta live your life for you, right? so it seems.

I just sat down and watched this movie, A Scanner Darkley, and let me tell you, if you are any fan/follower of graphic arts, if youre a photoshop junkie or a flash fiend, watch this movie. The presentation is spectacular, though confusing at times. Its set in the distant future [seven years] and is based on a man's struggle with addiction and his relation to the people around him. Its a pretty good story, bit i must warn, a little more than average commonsense is needed to enjoy, unless you always have a freind with you that you can tap and ask questions throughout the viewing. If you saw Robert Downy, Jr. in Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, you will enjoy his performance here and, shockingly enough, Keanu Reeves pulls off a non-annoying job. The movie is decently saturated with Radiohead tunes, so if youre a fan of their music, like me, youd like. Good Movie. Watch It. Laters.
I bought a bottle a few weeks back, just to try it out- i heard a 'review' about it and got intrigued. One thing i dont like is that it goes quicker than a bottle of goose [regular litre]. Its good, if anyone was skeptical about it. I was down to my last 'mix amount' and decided to cut up some fruit and soak them in it, in the freezer. The outcome is nice every peice of fruit has a new splash of rum, its not enough to get me saucy, but its nice. I used strawberries and grapes. Suprisingly, at 35% in volume, it freezed alright, not rockhard but slushy almost. I added the rest of the rum, then some coke, pineapple juice [blueberry] and some apple juice [snapple]. very decent mix drink if you have the resources, doesnt quite top a Grey Goose Citron Ocean Spray white cranberry Izze sparkling blackberry though. this should have been a four day weekend..
