It is said that religion is the opium of the masses, and, the last recourse of all scoundrels. The fact that religion is used to pacify the behaviors of the public; influencing people, that would have ordinarily followed natural instincts, to react in devastating circumstances as though under the control of psychotropic substances.
As varied and widespread the unstable aspects of religion has became; it is difficult to imagine that its root lies in the supposed existence of an all-knowing, all-powerful god of love that many believe contributed to the creation of our universe and everything that dwell therein. I’ve often wondered; how can a god of love be the author of a philosophy that inspired so many deaths and destruction spanning from the dawn of time.
It is not a great mystery that Man; in a quest to understand and explain the mundane and monotonous nature of His existence would cleverly negate moral obligations and transfer total responsibility of His actions upon someone or something that is never seen, heard, felt nor ever existed.
In Mans attempt to explain this god of love, He gives it an impossible characteristic that personifies the greatest ideals of humanity and, to place a face upon this more than life entity, the god of love is recognized as the spitting image of mankind that has manifested himself in the embodiment of man.
It would stand to reason that Man, in His egotistical attempt to recognize a purfect and almighty god to worship has merely discovered Himself, believe it or not.
