My fellow Bahamians; how long are we to accept mediocrity and passivism as if it were our birthright? Mindlessly going thought our daily routines as if we were programmed machines made to exist void of any hope of individual desires, goals and dreams. It's a fact that external governments open and blatantly defy our rights as an independent authority to govern our affairs in a manner that is best for Bahamians. It is my opinion that if and when any government choose to flex their super powers toward our peaceful shores we ought at least to pretend to be alive and not play dead as we frequently do. The role that the Bahamas play in this global village must be one that commands respect and inspires confidence. Not that respect which blooms the flowers of mediocrity but greatness. Nor that confidence which inspires generational servitude but dominion and personal success. Surly it is a God given right to live our only life in such a manner that brings honor and dignity to the image from which we were made. We our all creatures made and sustained by the power of God and not man, made to rule all other creatures and dominate this earth whereupon we now dwell. It ought not matter where we are as a nation but rather who we our as a people. We are a proud people fill with pride, we care about what others think and say about us individually and as a nation. We love to look our best and secretly enjoy giving our best. We don't live to celebrate life; we celebrate life because we live, even though we may from time to time try to squeeze every drop of life out off a day. We are Bahamians and as such our greatness is tied into the destiny of the Bahamas our country, our islands, our rocks and our cays. When a king sit back in the morning on his thrones practicing passivism and delivering sub mediocre judgments by evening his kingdom will be taken over. How long, my fellow Bahamian, will you sit back and watch your kingdom being invaded and sold literally from under our feet?
