Blog Entry: Consider a simple road map to be a perfect metaphor of life, each street signifies an individual, and every corner; a meeting of two souls. As we travel through the curves and turns, hitting bumps and potholes, eventually we reach our destination. Holding upon the premises that this is reality; where corner’s interconnects into a web of side roads, roundabouts and highways, it is our instinctive nature to travel away from the spot we now occupy. Each step along our way we confront something new, something interesting, or at least to us. With each confrontation Instinct awakes from within and directs us onto our next step, even, if at all, it be our very last. Each journey ventured upon; the hard reality standing ever before us is the irrefutable law of choice, adorned with the garment of life and armed only with one weapon; death. The probability that we will ever reach our chosen destination is roughly (1 in 1000), however, the possibility that we won’t is exactly (999 to 1). Moving, according to instinct, we take that (1) chance at fully accomplishing our journey despite 1000 ways of failure. The path is clear before our feet and our direction is sure, in essences, we are upon the road of destiny. Knowing not what direction we might take yet assured that we shall cross that bridge. Looking back upon the distance travelled we become fascinated; so many choices we have made and souls which we have met. Some continuing with us for a distance; like the roads that parallel each other and some as streets; seamlessly merging together into one highway. Truly this is the essence of destiny, and as nature would have it, life is a one way street; lest those that have gone before us suddenly return and collide head-on with us.
